Recently, Željko Kolar (56), the Prefect of Krapina-Zagorje County and a member of the SDP, became a grandfather for the first time. His son Maks welcomed a daughter, making Kolar and his wife, Mira Hrbud Kolar, proud grandparents. The family’s new addition has brought joy and celebration to all who know them.
Kolar and his wife have two successful children, Maks and Maja. Maks is a lawyer and Maja is a doctor. In addition to his role as Prefect of Krapina-Zagorje County, Kolar has had a long and distinguished career in politics. He was elected mayor of Klanjec in 2009 and served in the Croatian Parliament from 2011 until 2015. He also served as vice president of the Parliamentary Committee for Environment and Nature Protection.
When he’s not busy with public service, Kolar enjoys playing football, going for walks and hikes according to the official website of the Krapina-Zagorje County.
