Memphis has appointed Ed Scott, a former sports administrator at Virginia, as its new athletic director and senior vice president. Prior to joining Memphis, Scott had served time at the University of Virginia where he oversaw various sports programs including men’s basketball, baseball, swimming and diving, and track and field. He also served as a special adviser to the head football coach.
Scott made significant contributions to the athletic department at Virginia and is now looking forward to bringing his skills and expertise to Memphis. President Bill Hardgrave expressed his excitement in having Scott as part of the Tiger family, praising him as a forward-thinking and transformative leader.
