In Milan, Napoli director Giovanni Manna met with Alessandro Buongiorno’s agent, Beppe Riso, to discuss bringing the Torino center-back to the club. Reports suggest that the meeting was positive and that an agreement with Buongiorno is close at hand. Once personal terms are agreed upon, Napoli will make a formal bid to Torino for the player. However, despite Torino president Urbano Cairo stating that Buongiorno is not for sale, it seems likely that he will be sold for around €40m.
Napoli’s pursuit of Buongiorno is seen as a key move for the club as they look to bolster their defense ahead of the new season. The talented defender is viewed as a vital addition to Antonio Conte’s squad and Napoli are hopeful that they can secure a deal for him in the near future. With talks progressing positively, Napoli is working hard to finalize a deal for Buongiorno in the coming hours in order to strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.
