With the Health Insurance Portability and Security Act (HIPAA), individuals have the right to access their medical records and request changes to them. One convenient way to do this is through the MyWellSpan portal, which allows users to manage their health information and care from a computer, tablet, or smartphone at any time.
To access your medical record through MyWellSpan, simply log in to your account and navigate to the Sharing section. From there, you can request your medical records by providing the necessary information. If you are unable to use the online portal, you can also fill out a paper form, the Authorization to Use or Disclose Health Information, available in multiple languages.
If you need to make changes to your medical record, it’s easy with MyWellSpan. Simply access the Document Center, click on Requested Records & Record Amendments, and complete the Request for Amendment Form. Alternatively, you can fill out the Patient Requested Amendment Form and mail it to WellSpan Health.
