Moulin Rouge Sails Collapse: A Mysterious Incident Shocks Paris’s Nightlife Icon

Moulin Rouge, the famous Parisian windmill and nightclub, experienced its first-ever sail collapse overnight. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. local time, shortly after the venue’s last show had ended. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and firefighters have confirmed that there is no further risk of collapse.

The cause of the collapse remains unknown, with club officials stating that they had not noticed any issues during their weekly checks of the windmill mechanism. However, they mentioned that there were no signs of foul play and that a technical failure may have been responsible.

The fall of the windmill sails caused significant damage to the venue’s signage, knocking off the first three letters of “Moulin.” The sails were seen being loaded into a truck for further inspection. Founded in 1889, Moulin Rouge is a symbol of Paris nightlife and is famous for being the birthplace of the can-can dance. Despite previous incidents such as a fire in 1915 that forced the club to close for nine years, this latest incident has caused widespread concern among locals and tourists alike.

Parisians are eagerly waiting for updates on the restoration of this iconic landmark. Moulin Rouge is set to celebrate its 135th anniversary on Oct
