Midfielder Melanie Leupolz, who had an incredibly successful four-year stint at Chelsea, has decided to move on and join Real Madrid. During her time at Chelsea, Leupolz won a total of eight major trophies, including the Women’s Super League and the FA Cup in the most recent season. She made significant contributions to the team, playing in 11 league matches and starting nine of them.

Leupolz originally joined Chelsea from Bayern Munich in March 2020 and wasted no time making an impact. In her first season, she reached the Champions League final. After returning to action in March 2023, she played in seven games for Chelsea.
