On Saturday, the Marquette Holistic Health Fair returned to Northern Michigan University’s Northern Center, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore stress-relieving activities. This event featured presentations and vendors focusing on multiple aspects of health and well-being. With 37 vendors offering services such as massage, energy work, and henna body art, attendees had plenty of options to explore.

Event Coordinator Michelle Nichols noted that this fair was a reboot of a previous holistic health fair that had been a staple in the Marquette community for 20 years. The event aimed to pay homage to the old fair while putting a fresh spin on it. This year marked the first of its kind, bringing new energy and offerings to the community.

In addition to services, attendees had the opportunity to purchase products like crystals, soaps, and essential oils. There was even a therapy dog present to help calm attendees and provide a soothing presence at the event.

The fair brought a renewed focus on holistic health to Marquette, providing the community with an array of options for relaxation and well-being. Despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event’s organizers were able to bring this new iteration of the fair to life, offering attendees a diverse and rejuvenating experience.
