Richard Millener, the team principal of M-Sport Ford, has responded to rumors about the possible return of Sébastien Loeb to the squad. In an interview with DirtFish, Millener stated that while working with a legendary driver like Loeb would be an exciting opportunity, there are currently no plans for his return to the team in 2024.
Instead, M-Sport’s focus for this season is on its existing drivers Adrien Fourmaux and Grégoire Munster. The team plans to run two factory Pumas, with only the possibility of adding a customer car alongside them. Millener emphasized that any changes to this program would only occur if a customer expresses interest in running a car alongside the team’s entries.
Despite Loeb’s past success with the British squad, including a win at the Monte Carlo Rally in 2022, Millener dismissed any speculation of a Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid outing for him in Portugal this year. He stated that while working with Loeb would be an amazing opportunity, it is not where the team’s focus lies at present.
