A group of business owners in Nicholasville have come together to make sure that everyone can enjoy a happy Thanksgiving, regardless of their financial situation. Chris Dedman, one of the business owners involved, shared his personal background of growing up with financial struggles and recognized the need for help in the community.
On Monday night, Jacob Warren, Chris Dedman, and Landon Marsh came up with a plan to donate 150 turkeys to those in need. Landon was inspired by his family’s tradition of giving back during Christmas and wanted to extend that same spirit to Thanksgiving. Carletta Johnson was among the recipients of these generous donations. She admitted that she was currently facing financial hardship but expressed her gratitude for being able to provide a happier holiday for her family.
Carletta emphasized the importance of being grateful for what we have and participating in helping others, especially during difficult times. The business owners’ actions have not only brought joy to those who received them but also set an example for others to follow.
