On the day of November 22, 1963, a tragic event occurred in American history when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The Kennedy family, already known for their hardships and sorrows, faced yet another loss on this fateful day. Jack’s sister Rosemary had been left immobile after a lobotomy two years prior, older brother Joe had died in a war plane, Kathleen had passed away in a plane crash in the French Alps at the age of 26, and Robert had been killed while campaigning for the presidency in 1968.
