The Jacksonville Jaguars took an early 7-0 lead over the Tennessee Titans in their NFL matchup. During the second possession of the day, quarterback Trevor Lawrence connected with wide receiver Calvin Ridley for a three-yard touchdown pass. Despite a deflected extra point attempt by Brandon McManus, the Jaguars maintained their advantage.
The first half of the game began with both teams exchanging punts, but the Titans gained momentum when wide receiver Chris Moore ran for 38 yards, advancing the ball into Jaguars territory. However, the Titans’ drive was halted when quarterback Will Levis mishandled a snap, resulting in a fumble that was recovered by Foye Oluokon of the Jaguars. Oluokon’s impact was felt on the opening drive, as he also recorded a sack earlier in the game.
As the first quarter came to a close, the Jaguars’ early lead and strong defensive play by Oluokon gave them an advantage over the Titans. With just under three minutes left in the first quarter, it looked like it would be up to Tennessee to try and keep up with Jacksonville’s pace.
