IBM has expanded its software portfolio availability to 92 countries through AWS Marketplace, the digital catalog of Amazon Web Services (AWS). This move simplifies the purchasing and billing processes for customers in countries beyond Germany, France, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the United States where it was already accessible.
IBM’s expanded portfolio on AWS Marketplace includes 44 listings and 29 software as a service (SaaS) offerings. These offerings include technologies like watsonx.data and watsonx.ai from the watsonx platform. Other services available from IBM for these countries are Dv2 Cloud Pak for Data, Apptio, Turbonomic, Instana, and IBM Security & Sustainability, all built on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS.
The company plans to launch 15 new professional services and IBM Consulting assets on AWS Marketplace to meet customer needs and demand. This move aligns with IBM’s goal to provide a comprehensive range of services to customers in various countries. With this expansion, customers can now use their committed AWS spending for IBM software acquisitions.
