Hungarian Nationals Welcomes World Record Holder Kristof Milak Back to Competition

The Hungarian National Championships in April will mark the return of Kristof Milak to competition. The 24-year-old world record holder is entered in six events during the Olympic-qualifying competition, including the 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle events, as well as the 50m, 100m, and 200m butterfly. Despite being out of the pool since last year’s Hungarian Championships, Milak already holds Olympic Qualification Times in the 100m (50.80) and 200m fly (1:52.58) from that competition. He resumed training in mid-January and aims to be in his best form for the Paris Olympic Games.

Among the other athletes to watch at the Hungarian national championships is Zalan Sarkany, the PAC-12 conference record holder. Sarkany set a conference record with a time of 14:23.01 in the men’s 1650y freestyle at the championships. He later won the NCAA Championships title in the same event with a time of 14:30.57. Nikolett Padar, Gabor Zombori, and Boglarka Kapas are also set to compete in multiple freestyle and breaststroke events.

Key entries for men include David Betlehem in multiple freestyle events such as 200m, 40
