On Friday afternoon, the Howell Police Department received a complaint of threats made at a local business located in the 100 block of W Grand River Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man dead from a gunshot wound inside the building. One individual was taken into custody by the officers. The Howell Police Department has confirmed that there is no current threat to the public and that the incident is not connected to the nearby Balloonfest event.
In light of this, they have asked people to avoid the scene to allow investigators to conduct their work effectively. Chief Michael Dunn has assured the public that all subjects involved are cooperating with the investigation. As the investigation is ongoing, there is currently no further information available. 6 News will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
