Philadelphia sports radio broadcaster Howard Eskin has been suspended from Citizens Bank Park until the end of the Philadelphia Phillies’ season following an investigation into an unwanted advance he made toward a woman who worked for Aramark. The incident allegedly took place at the ballpark in May, prompting the investigation.
Aramark, which provides food services at the ballpark, confirmed the incident and stated that they took immediate action to protect their employees. Audacy, the company that owns WIP where Eskin hosts his radio show, also acknowledged the incident and conducted their own investigation before taking action.
The Phillies released a statement expressing their seriousness about the allegations and supporting Audacy’s decision to suspend Eskin from the ballpark. Despite being banned from attending games at Citizens Bank Park, Eskin will continue to host his radio show on WIP as usual.
Eskin has been a prominent figure in Philadelphia’s sports media scene for many years, known for his bold personality. He joined WIP in 1986 and focuses on sports radio while also serving as a reporter for Philadelphia Eagles broadcasts. Although he is suspended from attending games at Citizens Bank Park, he remains active in his role at WIP.
