Recently, three McLeod Health hospitals have been recognized for their commitment to patient safety. McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Health Dillon have all received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization that promotes patient safety in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. This prestigious recognition highlights the dedication of these hospitals to prioritize patient safety and prevent harm and errors through various measures and systems in place.
Dr. Caetie Rabon, Rural Regional Chief Medical Officer for McLeod Health, expressed gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the teams at these hospitals in providing quality care to patients. The Leapfrog Group’s grading system, which evaluates hospitals based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, helps identify areas for improvement and fosters a culture of safety.
