Nintendo has announced that it will be hosting the next Indie World Showcase, which is set to air this week. The livestream will take place on April 17 at 4pm CEST / 7am PT / 3pm BST and can be viewed on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, as well as on Nintendo UK and Nintendo of America. It is also expected that the showcase will be available on the official Nintendo Twitch channel.
The Indie World Showcase, which is approximately 20 minutes long, will focus on announcements and updates about indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2024. While the participating indie studios have not been revealed yet, there is speculation that Hollow Knight: Silksong may finally get a release date announcement. Fans have been eagerly waiting for news about this highly anticipated sequel since its announcement in February 2019.
In the last update on Hollow Knight: Silksong was in 2022 when a new trailer was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase event. The game is set to launch on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass.
