Heather Wilson, the president of UTEP, has been appointed to the National Science Board, which oversees the National Science Foundation. This Foundation has raised concerns about UTEP’s grant proposal for its Aerospace Center and has instructed the university to halt work on it.
When contacted for comment on her dual roles at UTEP and the NSB, a spokesperson for Heather Wilson informed us that she was unavailable for an interview as she was traveling.
