The Hajduk players, led by their star player Marko Livaj, have bid farewell to playing for the team “Fire” during the Euro qualifiers. Now, they are preparing for the continuation of the HNL with four rounds left until the end of the calendar year. The leading team of the championship is set to visit Istra 1961 in the first of these rounds on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The match could potentially break the record for the number of spectators at a home match for Istria, which currently stands at 7,500 spectators during a Cup semi-final against Rijeka. Istria has sold out all tickets for the southern stand, where visiting fans will be seated, as well as for the eastern stand, where fans with Hajduk’s insignia can enter. There are only tickets for the northern tribune remaining on sale.
The capacity of Aldo Drosina is around 8,900 seats and at present there are exactly 1,246 tickets left on sale. It is predicted that more “late” tickets will be sold before the game so it seems that attendance record at Istria stadium may fall. However, thanks to Hajduk fans who support their team throughout this season so far!
