WhatsApp Restores Service Following Global Outages – DW – 04/04/2024

On Wednesday, Meta Platforms-owned messaging service WhatsApp reported experiencing issues, affecting tens of thousands of users worldwide. According to tracking website Downdetector.com, outages were reported in the United States, India, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.

The problem was resolved over three hours later when WhatsApp announced that they were back up and running. During the outage, over 24,000 users in the US were impacted, with nearly 46,000 users in India reporting problems. Around 82,000 users in the UK and over 88,000 users in Brazil also experienced issues.
