At the upcoming 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva, experts will gather to address the most pressing health challenges. One year after a landmark resolution on strengthening diagnostics, access to diagnostics remains a major issue, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Fragmented supply chains and market barriers have made it difficult for these countries to obtain accurate and rapid diagnostic tests.
Threats like HIV, tuberculosis, emerging infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance require precise diagnostic tools for effective treatment and care. Diagnostic network optimization (DNO) is a process used by most countries to identify gaps, limitations, and inefficiencies in healthcare networks and delivery. However, much of the information collected during these processes is not fully utilized, which hampers progress.
To leverage DNO insights for better pathogen detection and strengthening global health systems, Foreign Policy and Cepheid are hosting an event on May 30th. The event will take place from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM CET on May 30th, 2024. During this event, experts will discuss ways to achieve universal health coverage and combat antimicrobial resistance using DNO insights. This is an opportunity for stakeholders from around the world to come together and share their experiences and best practices for improving healthcare delivery.
