Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks are starting to come together as a team. The two players are building chemistry, and the Bucks have switched back to their drop defense, which is helping them look better on both ends of the court.
Their recent success is evident in their five-game winning streak. On Monday night, they beat the Wizards with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way with 42 points on 20-of-23 shooting, 13 rebounds and eight assists.
It’s easy to forget that it’s still early in the season when we look at the first few games and draw sweeping conclusions. Teams thrown together over the summer usually need time to gel. However, the Bucks are using their current schedule to find their footing and look like a threat again.
There are still many questions left unanswered, such as Khris Middleton’s health and role on the team. But there is still a season left for them to answer these questions and continue to improve as a team.
