Germany U17 Defeats United States U17 with a Narrow 3-2 Win in November 2023

In a thrilling match in the round of 16 at the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia, Germany defeated the U.S. 3-2. The United States was eliminated from the tournament after a late goal saw them lose to Germany.

The game was played at a fast pace, with both teams trying to gain an advantage. Germany took the lead with a 14th-minute free kick by Charles Herrmann, only for the U.S. to equalize 10 minutes later with a goal by Taha Habroune. Germany then regained the lead before the break with a goal by Max Moerstedt.

Germany threatened to extend their lead in the second half, but the U.S. managed to level the scores for the second time with a free kick by David Vazquez in the 80th minute. However, substitute Bilal Yalcinkaya scored a late winner for Germany in the 87th minute, securing their victory and taking them to the quarterfinals where they will face Spain on Nov. 24.
