Johnny Nguyen, who fled his home country during the Vietnam War, has built a successful business and life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. DVR Cabinetry is a thriving enterprise specializing in cabinets and countertops with around 25 employees. Nguyen left Vietnam with the goal of providing his children with a better life and leaving behind the hardships caused by war, food shortages, and supply chain issues. After living in a camp for immigrants in Malaysia before moving to the US, he worked various jobs while continuing his education. Eventually, he started a successful printing business that allowed him to enter the construction industry and eventually led to the creation of DVR Cabinetry.

Today, Nguyen hopes to hire another 50 people as his business continues to grow. He believes that success is a product of the American Dream and wants to inspire others by emphasizing the opportunities available in the US. According to him, anyone willing to work hard can achieve their dreams.
