The Denver Broncos are featuring sixth-year wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, No. 17, in their 90-man offseason roster series. Originally, Humphrey joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 2019. Over his first two seasons, he moved between the practice squad and the active roster before becoming a rotational receiver in 2020. In three seasons with the Saints, Humphrey recorded 16 receptions for 295 yards and three touchdowns in 18 games, with six starts. He then spent a season with the New England Patriots in 2022, playing six games and catching two passes for 20 yards.
During the last spring, the Denver Broncos signed Humphrey, and he played in all 17 games of the season. In his first season with the team, the 26-year-old receiver accumulated 13 receptions for 162 yards and three touchdowns. As Humphrey has experience in coach Sean Payton’s offense from his time in New Orleans, he has a good chance to make the active roster for the 2024 season. However, the competition in the wide receiver room is stiff, so if he doesn’t secure a spot on the 53-man roster, Humphrey may end up on the practice squad.
