In 2023, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had a difficult start to his rookie year. A season-ending shoulder surgery limited him to just four games. However, after going through a successful recovery process, Richardson is ready to fully participate in the upcoming training camp.
Kwity Paye, an Indianapolis defensive end, recently mentioned in an interview that Richardson seemed to have rebounded well during the offseason program. Paye expressed disappointment that Richardson couldn’t play the entire season but emphasized how he bounced back during OTAs, displaying improved decision-making, increased confidence, and smarter game reads. Paye expressed excitement about having Richardson back for the 2024 season and mentioned a big rivalry game against the Texans in Week 1 that the team is eagerly anticipating.
Despite only playing in four games last year, Richardson showed promise by completing 60 percent of his passes for 577 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He also showcased his running ability by adding 136 rushing yards and scoring four touchdowns. With these performances as a rookie, Paye and the rest of the team are looking forward to seeing Richardson’s growth and impact during the upcoming season.
