NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids is launching a six-month entrepreneur training program called FLO Business Hub starting May 8. Designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed in a competitive business environment, the cost of the program is $249, with limited scholarships available for those who cannot afford the fee.
The FLO Business Hub program will offer participants three classes a month for peer review sessions and networking events. Led by business professionals, these classes will cover topics such as writing business plans, establishing banking relationships, building brand identity, and developing marketing strategies.
In addition to attending classes, FLO Business Hub participants will have access to insider information at NewBo City Market. They will also receive priority consideration for opportunities at the market, discounts on vendor rates, and entry to monthly networking events. For more information or to sign up for the program, individuals can contact Matt McGrane, the market’s director of equitable business development at (319) 200-4050 or email him at matt@newbocitymarket.co.
