Texans acquire Stefon Diggs in trade with Bills

In recent news, Stefon Diggs has taken to social media to discuss the importance of his success in relation to that of Josh Allen. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills have made the decision to trade Diggs to the Texans. In exchange, Buffalo will receive a 2025 second-round pick originally from Minnesota. Houston will receive Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick, and a 2025 fifth-round pick.

As per the trade agreement, by trading Diggs before June 1, the Bills will face a $31 million dead cap charge in 2024. However, Diggs is currently signed through 2027 and has been an integral part of the team’s success during his time with the Bills. Originally a fifth-round pick in 2015, Diggs spent his first five seasons with the Vikings before joining the Bills in 2020. He had an impressive first season in Buffalo, leading the league in catches (127) and yards (1535).

Despite a slight decrease in production during the 2023 season, Diggs still managed to achieve over 100 catches (107) and 1,000 yards (1,183) for the fourth year in a row. He has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for six consecutive seasons. However, with their decision to part ways with Diggs, the Bills are allowing him to join another team as another weapon for second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud at Houston Texans.

Throughout his illustrious career spanning over 136 games
