This offseason, Jordan Poyer left the Buffalo Bills and signed with their AFC East rival, the Miami Dolphins. Despite his new affiliation, Poyer made a trip back to Buffalo over the weekend to attend Micah Hyde’s charity softball event at Sahlen’s Field. The event was an opportunity for him to connect with fans and show appreciation for their support throughout his years on the team.
Poyer shared with the Buffalo News that it was a surreal experience. He didn’t know what to expect coming out to see Bills Mafia fans, but they showed up in full force as always. Fans were thrilled to have Poyer back in Buffalo, where he had spent seven years as a member of the team.
During the event, Poyer stirred up some excitement by declaring Josh Allen, the Bills’ quarterback, as “the best quarterback in the league,” despite now playing for a team with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback. Fans at the event showed their support for Poyer and expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming football season.
The video clip of Poyer’s comments quickly circulated online and showcased his love for Buffalo and his dedication to both the team and its community. It was clear that while he may have moved on to another team, his heart remained with the Buffalo Bills and their passionate fan base.
