In the Chicago area, Franciscan Health is providing free suicide prevention courses. These courses are based on a curriculum developed by the QPR Institute and will teach participants how to recognize warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
There are several upcoming courses in different locations. Franciscan Health Michigan City is hosting a course on April 30th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Central time.
