The Superior Health Foundation awarded $722,065.93 in proactive pediatric mental health grants to six organizations during its fall grant award celebration in October. The event was presented by 44North and featured the acceptance of grant awards by Michigan State University – Department of Pediatrics and Human Development; Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc.; Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc.; Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula; Northern Michigan University and Marquette-Alger RESA.
The grants will be awarded over a two-year period, with the goal of promoting proactive mental health care for children in the region. Each organization has been tasked with developing innovative programs and initiatives that address specific mental health needs within their communities.
These grants are part of the Superior Health Foundation’s ongoing efforts to improve access to quality healthcare for all residents of northern Michigan. With these resources, these organizations can make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of children and families in need.
