A suspect named Jamie Chacon, 44, from Petersburg, is facing accusations of forcible sodomy and rape of a woman at a Waynesboro business where she worked last summer. Chacon is also listed as being from Waynesboro by Middle River Regional Jail. The incident allegedly took place at the Eagle Game Room on West Main Street, which has since closed.
Court records indicate that the assault occurred on July 23 in a backroom of the business. Chacon was initially charged with rape in September and has been in jail since then. Recently, he was indicted by the Waynesboro grand jury on two additional felony charges of forcible sodomy.
A two-day jury trial at Waynesboro Circuit Court is scheduled to begin on September 17.
