In 2024, former postseason hero Eddie Rosario will be returning to the Braves organization. Rosario played a significant role in the team’s 2021 World Series run and was awarded the NLCS Most Valuable Player award for his impressive performance during the National League Championship Series.
During the 2021 postseason, Rosario appeared in all 16 games and had a remarkable .560 batting average with three home runs against the Dodgers. Following the World Series victory, Rosario signed a two-year contract with the Braves. However, after the 2023 season, the Braves decided not to pick up their $9 million club option on his contract.
After struggling at the plate with a .183 batting average in 67 games for the Washington Nationals in 2024, Rosario will now be reporting to the AAA Gwinnett Braves to continue his career at age 32. It will be interesting to see how Rosario adapts to this new opportunity and what he can bring to the Braves organization once again.
