Two Demos and the Final Trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Released Ahead of Launch

Square Enix has released the demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PS5. The demo will allow players to experience the first chapter of the highly anticipated game, which is set to launch in 2024. The demo will consist of two parts, with the second part being released on February 21st. This news was announced during a Sony Interactive Entertainment State of Play dedicated to the game.

During the State of Play, in addition to the demo, the final trailer of the game was also shown, which offers an overview of the plot and characters. The trailer showcases new locations, minigames and returning characters, as well as a new battle system that combines real-time action with strategic controls.

The “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” demo includes an extensive flashback section that allows players to relive key events from five years before the main storyline. Later on February 21st, players can expect an update to this section titled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon”, offering more exploration and combat possibilities. It should be noted that progress made in this section will not be transferable to the full game. Players who complete this section will receive bonuses that can be used throughout Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s full release, including a moogle lucky charm and a set of adventure items.

The presentation offered an overview of many aspects of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s gameplay features, including traversing its expansive world, new mini-games and character interactions that influence how story unfolds. New information about protagonists and mechanics like skill trees were also presented during this time period.
