Golden Dragon, a leading company in the electric bus technology industry, is currently conducting an intensive training program in Africa aimed at promoting the growth of electric vehicles and energy storage technology on the continent. The Global Energy Interconnection Development Cooperation Organization, in collaboration with the Chinese Mission to the African Union, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the African Electric Power Utilities Association, have initiated this program.
During the six-day training session, Golden Dragon is providing comprehensive feasibility analysis methods, training courses, and detailed reports specifically tailored for African governments and related industries on the development of the electric vehicle industry. The training covers a range of topics including the construction and operation of electric vehicle charging facilities, standards for electric vehicles, development experiences, policies related to energy storage industry and insights into project investment and financing.
The primary objective of this training programme is to accelerate energy interconnection in Africa, reduce power outages and promote electrification, industrialisation and sustainable development across the continent. Nearly 200 participants from energy departments, power companies, universities and research institutions in 25 African countries such as Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa and Ghana have shown interest in this program.
Golden Dragon’s participation in this training programme demonstrates its export philosophy of empowering others with knowledge and expertise instead of simply providing solutions. This initiative seeks to advance the adoption of electric vehicles and energy storage technology in Africa paving the way for a more sustainable and efficient transportation infrastructure on the continent.
