Emplify Health, a combination of “empathy” and “amplify,” has officially merged Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System. The merger, which took place in December 2022, reflects their united goal of increasing access, creating a culture of empathy, and enhancing population health outcomes.
Scott Rathgaber, CEO of Bellin and Gundersen Health System, explained that the name change represents a commitment to understanding and increasing the well-being of their patients and communities. The rebranding process will take place over the next few months, with all hospitals and clinics changing their name to Emplify Health.
While some entities like Gundersen Medical Foundation and The Bellin Health Foundation will undergo a name change, others will retain their names. Funds received by each foundation will continue to be used for the purposes intended by the donors.
Patients can expect to receive care from the same providers and staff at the same locations they are familiar with. Rathgaber mentioned that the transition to Emplify Health is expected to take several years to complete.
