ECU Health is currently seeking feedback from community members in eastern North Carolina on their Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). The CHNA serves as the foundation for improving and promoting good health in the region and is conducted every three years.
The health system is encouraging all community members aged 15 and older to complete the CHNA survey to provide meaningful feedback on how ECU Health can enhance health and well-being in eastern North Carolina. By directly engaging with the community, ECU Health can better tailor their efforts to promote wellness and address critical health challenges.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential. Feedback from the survey helps ensure that health care needs are met in the 29 counties ECU Health serves. The survey will remain open until June 7, 2024. The CHNA process involves collecting and analysing comprehensive data, including demographic, socioeconomic, and health-related statistics, but the most valuable insights come directly from community members themselves.
ECU Health values the input of community members in improving their services and addressing the most pressing health issues affecting these communities. Once the CHNA analysis is complete, the results will be used to prioritize strategies aimed at meeting the community’s health needs in order to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. The survey is available in both English and Spanish and can be accessed through a provided link.
