In recent weeks, the Penta-CivicScience Economic Sentiment Index (ESI) has shown a significant increase in economic sentiment, reaching its highest level since mid-March. The ESI saw an impressive rise of 0.6 points to 35.3.
Among the five indicators that make up the ESI, two have increased over the past two weeks. Confidence in the overall U.S. economy saw the most substantial increase, rising by 2.5 points to 41.3. Additionally, confidence in making a major purchase also experienced an uptick of 1.6 points to 24.1. However, despite this progress, confidence in personal finances remained unchanged at 54.7. On the other hand, confidence in finding a new job decreased by 0.2 points to 38.1, while confidence in buying a new home decreased by 1.1 points to 18.3
