Duane Gill has been appointed as the new director for the Montana VA Health Care System, effective June 30. He brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to serving veterans to his new role.
Gill served as the interim director prior to this announcement, and before that he was the director of the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System since June 2020. He has held various leadership positions within the VA system, including associate director and interim director roles in different locations.
Gill is a U.S. Navy veteran and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, with degrees in management and political science. His career with the VA began in 2002 as a secretary in the Chaplain’s Office of the Robely Rex Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

With Gill at the helm, the Montana VA Health Care System aims to continue its mission of delivering high-quality care to veterans in Montana.
