The Detroit High School Sports Awards, presented by Detroit Area Honda Dealers, has announced the nominees for Boys and Girls Wrestler of the Year. These awards are part of a nine-month recognition program that acknowledges athletes, coaches, and teams from the greater Detroit region participating in sanctioned Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.
The live show will take place on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit and will be produced in partnership with the U.S. Army. During the event, nominees will be honored, along with players of the year for each of the 27 other recognized sports. Awards will be given for on- and off-the-field achievements, including Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards. All nominated athletes who RSVP will receive complementary tickets to attend this red-carpet show.
