A homicide and aggravated assault investigation is currently underway in Warner Robins after a shooting occurred at a food store on South Davis Drive. One person was killed and another injured in the incident, which has left the community shaken.
According to the Warner Robins Police Department, authorities are actively searching for clues and witnesses to piece together what happened. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a young male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Another male victim, identified as Zephaniah Langston, 24, was later found with a single gunshot wound. Langston was transported to Houston Healthcare Watson Campus but later succumbed to his injuries.
The police have reviewed security footage from the business and determined that the conflict leading to the shooting involved both victims. Witnesses inside the establishment reported that gunfire was exchanged outside the building. The investigation is ongoing, but an 18-year-old suspect named Javon Charles has been arrested in connection with the incident. Authorities believe that two or three other male teenagers were also involved.
As the investigation continues, anyone with information regarding the shooting is encouraged to contact Warner Robins detectives or Macon Regional Crimestoppers. The community is being kept updated as more details become available, and we can expect further updates as this case unfolds.
