CPD issue alert following string of North Side organization burglaries

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago police are advising firms to secure their windows and locks following a string of burglaries on the city’s North Side this week.

Police say thieves targeted bars, taverns, and restaurants in the Lincoln Park and North Center neighborhoods.

In every single single incident, two guys forced their way into these firms by creating use of a pry tool to break door locks. When inside, they harm cash registers and workplace file cabinets and took property from inside ahead of fleeing the scene on foot.

  • 4300 block of N Lincoln Avenue, Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 1:00-six:00 AM 
  • 4600 block N Lincoln Avenue, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 5:27 AM 

Police described the suspects as African American guys every single single wearing a light-colour hoodie, light colour backpack, and black pants.
