Debbi Honey, RN, has been recognized as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 90 Patient Safety Experts to Know. As the senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Covenant Health in Knoxville, Tennessee since 2017, she has played a vital role in improving patient safety indicators and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Honey is responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of nursing operations and standardizing processes to support both patients and operations at Covenant Health. She also actively participates in clinical leadership development on both local and national levels.
With a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Minnesota, Honey is a highly qualified healthcare professional. She holds certifications in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) and as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), in addition to being a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
