Caney Valley’s Cooper Fogle and Bartlesville High’s Gentry Turner were crowned the Athlete of the Year at the Patriot Auto Group Night of Scholars and Champions. Both athletes have been standout performers in their respective sports, with impressive rankings in the state.
Fogle has been a force to be reckoned with in track and field, as well as on the football field. He led his team in tackles and secured the pole vault title last year, placing third this spring. On the other hand, Turner has excelled in cross country, finishing top-5 in 6A competition. She is expected to add to her accomplishments at the upcoming track and field state competition.
Congratulations to these two outstanding athletes, as well as all those who have been recognized throughout the season as athlete of the week honorees. Their hard work and dedication have paid off, and they are true examples of what it means to be a champion both on and off the field.
