Gwinnett County officials have announced that Live Healthy Gwinnett will be hosting a community health fair in support of Mental Health Awareness Month on Saturday, May 11. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center in Suwanee. CareSource and GUIDE, Inc. are sponsoring the event, which is free of charge and open to all members of the community.
Project Coordinator Carion Marcelin expressed her excitement about the health fair, stating, “We are thrilled to host this community health fair to promote mental health awareness and empower residents with valuable resources and information. By coming together as a community, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage individuals to prioritize their well-being.”
The event will include interactive demonstrations, health screenings, and opportunities to connect with local agencies that provide mental health services and support. Live Healthy Gwinnett is a program focused on improving community health in Gwinnett County, and this health fair is just one of many initiatives designed to promote better overall wellness for residents.
