Deion Sanders, the new head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, has secured a commitment from highly rated class of 2025 wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. Watkins had previously decommitted in November but recently included Colorado in his top 16 choices. Despite competition from college football powerhouses such as Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Texas Longhorns and Penn State Nittany Lions, Colorado remains in contention for Watkins’ services.
Watkins is known for his explosiveness on offense and ability to work effectively from the slot position. Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 172 pounds, he impresses with his advanced route running skills and elusiveness when avoiding defenders. With his speed, Watkins is able to outrun opponents when given open space on the field.
