Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has announced the appointment of Collin Lee as its space business development vice president. Lee, who previously worked as VP of intelligence systems at General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) mission systems business, made the announcement via LinkedIn on Tuesday.
Lee has had a 23-year career that has revolved around business consulting, defense and intelligence. After earning a bachelor’s degree in public administration at James Madison University, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as senior consultant. He later got a similar post at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) in 2003.
Lee became legislative liaison at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in May 2007. He stayed at ODNI for more than four years before being appointed as director of legislative affairs at the National Security Council.
At General Dynamics, Lee served as director of strategy and business development before being named director of the company’s Frontiers space technology incubator. His expertise in space technology will be crucial to his new role at SAIC, where he will be responsible for driving growth in the company’s space business.
