Clemson’s 2025 recruiting cycle has hit a rough patch, with top targets on their radar committing to other schools. On the 4th of July, another disappointment occurred when 4-star WR Samari Reed from Monarch, FL announced his commitment to Ole Miss, leaving Clemson in need of another wide receiver for their 2025 class. According to Rivals rankings, Reed is the No. 149 overall player in the class and the No. 30 player at his position, making him a significant loss for the Tigers.
Despite these setbacks, Clemson is focusing on bouncing back and flipping former Ole Miss commit Dillon Alfred, who is their top wide receiver target remaining in the class. The Tigers are hopeful that they can secure Alfred’s commitment and add him to their 2025 recruiting class. The coaching staff remains optimistic about their recruiting efforts and is working hard to bring in top talent for the upcoming season.
