526 children killed due to Russian military aggression, says Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has published a report stating that as of February 10, 2024, at least 526 children have been killed in Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine and over 1,200 minors have been injured. The report also highlighted that seven people, including three children, were victims of a Russian attack in Kharkov on January 31st. In this attack, a six-month-old baby and two four-year-old children tragically lost their lives.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, children have been hit the hardest by Russia’s aggression in several regions across the country, including Donetsk, Kharkov, Kherson, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Chernihiv and Lugansk.

The report emphasizes that the impact on children is particularly grave and efforts must be made to ensure their safety and well-being. As time passes and the war continues to escalate these numbers may increase even further. It is crucial for the international community to recognize and address this humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine.

The loss of life among children is a tragic reminder of the devastating effects of war on innocent people. It is important for all parties involved to take immediate steps towards peace and security so that children can grow up without fear or harm.
