Celebrate Mother’s Day by Nominating a Deserving ‘Sports Mom of the Year’

Are you aware of a mother in the sports world who deserves recognition? For the sixth year in a row, we will be honoring a “Sports Mom of the Year” with a special feature on May 12th, which also happens to be Mother’s Day. If you know a deserving mother, you can nominate her by submitting her name and explaining why she should be named “Sports Mom of the Year” by 9 p.m. on May 3rd.

To make a nomination, you can email Kyle Neddenriep at kyle.neddenriep@indystar.com or leave a voicemail with contact information at (317) 444-6649. Last year, the award was shared by Crystal Clark and Amy Dinwiddie. Previous winners include Susie Strange in 2022, Kris Scheeps in 2021, Kathy Loggan in 2020, and Angie Young in 2019.

If you know a mother who has made a difference in the sports world and deserves to be recognized, don’t hesitate to submit a nomination. Call Star reporter Kyle Neddenriep at (317) 444-6649 to learn more or to make a nomination.
